• What is an ebook?

• Do I receive the ebook in a paperback or hardback form?

• Can I receive ebooks on CDs and download or read them later from the CD?

Yes, you may purchase any ebook and have it physically sent to you on a CD; however, at this time, we are still adding this feature more and more each day.  Keep looking for the availability.  If you purchase an ebook on a CD you will still be able to download the eBook or read it at your convenience.  Also, you can take the CD with you and load it into any computer.

• Do I need any special software to read an eBook?  

You will also need extracting software such as Winzip ( www.winzip.com ) to unpack your purchase from the ZIP folder that it will arrive in. Many ebooks can be read using the default software of your computer, but WinZip is the preferred default standard for all our ebook files. Once opened with WinZip, most ebooks are in PDF format; therefore, you will need Acrobat Reader which can be obtained from www.adobe.com. Ebooks in Word format will require Microsoft Word.  Some eBooks come in exe format which can be read on any Windows PC, however, not on Mac.

• Will I get an instant download of my purchase?

Yes. Immediately after you have made your payment, you will then be redirected to a page with the download link and you can download your purchase right away.

• Which methods of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express and debit card payments by PayPal.  (If you haven't got a FREE PayPal account click here to get one!)

• I cannot download my purchase! What shall I do?

• I just paid by PayPal and was not led to a download page.

You should have clicked on Return To Merchant at PayPal after purchasing to get redirected back to our website. Simply contact us , quoting which product you purchased and we will help you.

• Is my personal information sold to any third party?

Absolutely not!  Your personal information is highly secured.  EbooksEtcetera will never sell your personal information to any third party. Please read our Privacy Policy for more information.

• May I loan an eBook to a friend?

Ebooks are "real" books even though they are not on paper.  Although you may loan an ebook to a friend, you must realize that it is like loaning a paper book to a friend. If you loan an ebook to a friend, you must delete the copy from your computer, because by loaning the ebook, you will have made a copy or forwarded a copy of the ebook for your friend.  Copying ebooks is just like photocopying a paper book for a friend and then keeping the original as well.  Please note that some books that we sell do indeed have resell rights attached to them, and in that event, you may resell or share the book, depending on the rights provided by the author.  However, if there are no resell or republishing rights provided by the author, you cannot make additional copies without risking the violation of copyright laws. 

• Why aren’t all ebooks free or very cheap?

Ebooks are not a lot less expensive because they are still written by people who are trying to make a living. Also just because a book is in computerized form does not mean that this book did not take time to get setup for people to purchase. We are always looking for ways to bring our prices down.
